Vintage Bench

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I just finished these two custom Vintage benches.  I was hired a couple weeks ago to build a 48" and a 60" bench.  Both to match her dining chairs and kitchen table.  The match was successful and she was really pleased with both benches!

So I painted these with my normal fav in Vintage :-) from Valspar.  Then I glazed the Vintage with a Toffee Stain.  I did this a few times to deepen the color.  For the top I did a combination of many things!!  The list consisted of my homemade stain, leftover coffee, and the same Toffee stain I used to glaze the cream paint.  Weird combination, I know!  But hey, it worked!

Here are a few pictures I snapped before she picked them up..

I love how simple these benches are.. Vintage and country!

Have a blessed and happy day!

Restored French Provincial Dresser and Nightstand

Happy Friday friends!  This week I took the time to restore new life to two hideous interesting pieces.  I went with the Vintage white paint from Valspar, and a really pretty blue called Weathered Glass, also from Valspar.  I rubbed a brown glaze over the drawer fronts and love the way it turned out.  It's subtle but pretty.  It adds just the amount of character I was looking for.

I worked on a dresser and a small night stand.  They have that cute curvy leg thing going on!  Love that!

Here are a few before pictures, so you can see this marvelous transformation! :)

YIKES right?  I think they are much easier on the eyes now!

I had a little fun with some of the staging for this space at my shop.. I'm just loving this new addition that we built out of barn wood.. it makes for an awesome rustic backdrop for my pieces.

Chalkboards have been a really popular item at the shop!  And they work perfect for staging my space.

I love fall and all the colors and smells it brings.. you have the reds, golds, greys, and oranges.. and then you get the cinnamon, baked apples, and vanilla pumpkin smells! YUM!

Well thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!
