Isn't is cute?!

And I really love the hardware as is too!  Just dainty and antique..

So there you have my adorable little Secretary Desk!  Thank you for stopping by my little blog!  Have an awesome day!

New Items in My Shop!

Happy Sunday everyone!  The sun is shining bright here today!  I am just soakin up the rays in this awesome weather.

So today I am sharing pictures!  Not many words, just a lot of pictures!  I just added some of these pieces to my shop at Enchanting Objects.  So if you're local, be sure to check them out!  You can find me outside in the backyard, in the trailer to the left!

I finally snapped a picture of the bench that goes with the gray washed Farmhouse Table and Chairs.

So that sums up today's pictures!  I hope you all find yourself enjoying a lovely sunny Sunday, wherever you are!  Thanks for visiting my blog and little shop!

My Little Shop

Today we're taking a little stroll around my shop!  I'm so excited that it's finally looking full and homey.  It's taken a lot of hard work to build, refinish, and create things for this space.  But fun in the process of course!

So below is a gorgeous rustic county farmhouse fireplace surround, that I feel just warms this space and gives it loads of character!  It's not a piece that I'm selling.  It is just for display and staging purposes.  However, I will be building some similar pieces that will be for sale!

I've picked up some new treasures over the last couple weeks :)

I made some new DIY Chalkboards too!  So fun and sooo easy!  I'll do a post on that in the near future.

I added two cream chairs to the Minty-Green Farmhouse Table that you can find here.

Okay, so remember the before of my shop??  I sure do, but I'm slowly starting to forget as I make it more my own.

Here is the BEFORE picture of my shop... Yikes..!  Click here to see the rest of the before shots.

 And the AFTER! ...Awww...{Big Happy Sigh} :)

Well, I have about twenty more pictures I could share of the projects I've been working on, but don't want to overwhelm you with too many photos!  So watch for another post later this week!  I can't wait to show all of it...  Have a great day!

Two Farmhouse Tables

I've been working on these two Farmhouse Tables over the past couple weeks, and I'm finally done with them, and absolutely love how they turned out!  Each one is so different from the other.

So the table below is painted in "Glass of Milk" by Martha Stewart line.  I mixed it with my DIY Chalk Paint that you can find here.  When you get to the page just scroll down for the recipe.  I am currently working on the bench for this table and will post some update pictures when I have it finished!

Here is my "Sea Glass" Farmhouse Table.. It's a bit beachy, which I LOVE!  I did more distressing to this piece and I really like how it turned out!  I apologize for the missing drawer in these photographs, I'll post more later with the drawer! :)

You'll notice that the Sea Glass is more of a light Turquoise/Blue to start out with.

To create the Bird Pecking effect, you simply take a hammer to the head of the screw and poke holes into the wood.  You can really get creative with all sorts of different things you might find in the garage!  Don't be scared to just try anything!  It's fun and spontaneous!  You can also lay the screw on its side and hit it and it will leave small screw slashes in the wood.  Really neat!

So here I rubbed a brown glaze over the painted part of my table, let it dry and then just dry brushed some cream paint over some of the distressed areas.. It's another way to add character and layers to your piece!

I haven't decided what I'm putting with this table yet, as far as chairs and a bench are concerned..

So there you have it!  Two beautiful, yet very different Farmhouse Tables!  Have a great week!
